The Peak District National Park is a beautiful area of wild, rugged moorland, spectacular cloughs or valleys formed by fast-flowing streams, limestone gorges such as Winnats Pass and ancient woodlands. Enjoy a long hike along the Pennine Way or meander through beautiful villages and enjoy the abundance of wildlife. The nearby city of Derby is famed for the lavishly decorated china of Royal Crown Derby and the beautiful cathedral which has stunning views of three counties from the spire. The surrounding countryside and several nearby stately homes and villages were recently portrayed in the film Pride and Prejudice.
The Lincolnshire coast is home to some the UK’s top seaside destinations such as Skegness and has many other excellent resorts offering fun for all the family. Not too far from these resorts however are places like Gibraltar Point, Saltfleetby, Crook Bank and Moggs Eye - havens for bird watchers, nature lovers and those seeking natural coastline and wide expanses of empty sands. Further inland are the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with undulating landscapes, punctuated by the picture postcard villages and the friendly market towns of Alford, Horncastle, Louth, Spilsby, Tattershall and Coningsby.
